They reached the portal, the clap of thunder close behind. Spread before her, Yellow Cloud saw the innumerable womyn of the world, scattered as far as the eye could see. She brace her energy as she expect the Seer to wake up to the mundane reality. To her surprise, the love-overwhelmed woman opened the portal, nearly merging two realities. The Guardian threw up power in astonishment, a goalie smile beginning at her mouth. Then she diverted.
In the space of a few heartbeats, the other womyn and the VisionKeepers came, and a sense of calm permeated them. The Earth Mother begin to vibrate with the sound of thousands of womyn chanting. The sound continued, until it seemed the Earth Mother spoke. In a moment, Yellow Cloud and her Seer were completely surrounded by the loving vibration. There could be no turning away now, it was time for the young Seer. There was no forgetting. As far as she could feel there was only a sea of love.
Yellow Cloud recalled for a moment that Silver Star, the Crow medicine woman, had been activated in such a way. So, it would be the same for Yellow Cloud’s charge.
For the present, she must release the Seer to the frequency, let her implode, understanding as the energy settled. And that, Yellow Cloud knew, could take a while. She looked at Grandmother Moon’s placement, barely past the highest point in her nightly stroll. How long would Yellow Cloud be diligently on watch?
**The Seer slowed her energy to a steady flow, no longer irratic. She was relaxing herself to the chanting. The womyn who had seen her had now seen others and had been received. They chanted for the Seer as well.
A forgotten thought flitted through Yellow Cloud’s mind. This must be the vision Beautiful Badger had spoken of. She would tell her teacher about it when she got back.
